THANK YOU
You can support Musica Copa and all of our amazing charities by making a donation online in advance - or by joining us on the day at Centennial Parklands and cheering on the teams from the sidelines.
100% of door donations will be collected for the Justin Cosby Scholarship with 100% of all online donations going directly to the charity/team that you nominate to pay.
Triple J presenter and all-round powerhouse Lucy Smith returns as your host, joined by comedian/presenter Nat Damena. The Musica Copa Soundsystem will be soundtracked by a number of special guests from the UNDR Ctrl agency with our buddies Mary’s Burgers returning to host a bespoke food menu for the day, including veggie & vegan dishes.
Last year Sony Music took home the Division 1 championship trophy and $25,000 for their charity Deadly Science, NLV Records triumphed in Division 2 winning $15,000 for Heaps Decent and Campari took home the Division 3 crown and $10,000 for FNPW.
For the 3rd year running Musica Copa continues to support the Justin Cosby Scholarship; an annual Arts & Entertainment Management scholarship partnered with the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) to honour Justin’s legacy. Rather fittingly, Justin was the recipient of Musica Copa’s Fair Play award prior to his passing in 2021, and in 2022 we introduced the inaugural Justin Cosby Fair Play Award to pay our own respects. Over the past 2 years we have proudly raised over $22,000 for the Scholarship and we look forward to contributing more essential funding for many years to come.
Special thanks go to our amazing partners Better Beer, Centennial Parklands Sports Centre, Chivas Regal, Heaps Normal, KIKOFF, Mary’s, Music & Booze Co, Nike, Red Bull, Sportsblock and Ultra Football, without whom these events would not be possible.
Musica Copa is the beloved charity 5-a-side football tournament for the music industry that has been kicking goals and raising money for many deserving charities since 2013.
On Thursday 6th February 2025 Musica Copa returns to Centennial Parklands for another action-packed day of footy and fundraising, featuring 36 top tier companies split into 3 divisions of 12 teams. The winning teams from each division will collectively share $50,000 in prize money for their nominated charities, putting the total amount raised for charity by Musica Copa over the past decade to over $250,000.
Musica Copa is the brainchild of UNDR Ctrl Founder & CEO Paul Stix and his ex-partner Martin Novosel (Purple Sneakers). Since its inception with a humble 10 teams, Musica Copa has firmly established itself as one of the most eagerly awaited events on the Australian music calendar and a networking event like no other.
Over the years, Musica Copa has attracted a festival sized line-up of musicians/players on the pitch including Alex the Astronaut, Bag Raiders, Cosmo’s Midnight, Crooked Colours, DMA’S, Kwame, Flight Facilities, G Flip, Gang Of Youths, Just A Gent, Krewella, Matt Okine, Montaigne, Motez, Nina Las Vegas, Ruel, Set Mo, The Rubens, What So Not, WILLO, Winston Surfshirt and Young Franco to name a few. From the soccer community we’ve welcomed Fox Sports host Adam Peacock, Socceroo legend Brett Emerton, and Matildas and W-League players Gabe Marzano, Emily Shields, Leena Khamis, Sham Khamis and Chantelle Symes.
